This chart (below) is essentially self care in a nutshell! Keep it as a reference, save it, pin it, or print it, so you can keep it handy and refer to it any time. It’s a handy reference guide for when you are not feeling good and you need to know how to mend that.
I use these exact questions and follow up actions to care for myself every single day. I included this in my
my upcoming book, The Power Of Self Care, but I wanted to you to have it now, even before my book comes out, so that you can start tailoring your self care to suit your specific needs, right away.
See, self care is not a throw it at the wall and see what sticks kind of thing. Self care is best applied through asking yourself specific questions such as, which part of me needs my care, and what can I do to meet that need?
There are different parts of you, your mind, your body, your heart, and your soul, and they each need specific care, and will call out to you in different ways when that care is needed.
Feeling angry? That’s your heart.
Feeling lost? That’s your soul.
Feeling fatigued? That’s your body.
Feeling anxious? That’s your mind.
Once you know which part of you needs care, you can go ahead and give it what it needs. See my handy dandy chart below to learn all about your different states of being and what they mean, and what you can do for yourself in each one, so you can feel better sooner, and more of the time.
