Hi friends! I often get asked how I have learned to stay positive or how I am dealing with certain areas of my life. I feel like getting myself into a positive state of my mind, first thing in the morning is probably one of the biggest factors.
So I have put together a list of some of the affirmations I often repeat to myself (and some of them to my kids!) in the mornings, or throughout the day, as I need them. Keep reading to see the whole list (as usual I have included a downloadable and printable graphic…scroll down to view!).
If you are new to affirmations, you might find this whole thing a little weird at first. You have to trust me on this however; it is truly amazing what speaking empowering words to yourself can do for your state of mind and mental wellbeing!

There are 17 different affirmations below. Typically, you won’t say all 17 at the same time. That would be overwhelming, and defeat our purpose here! Start off with about 3-5 affirmations. Choose the ones that spark a calm or loving feeling within you. On tough days, maybe when you are going through some heavy things, you might feel like speaking more than 5 to yourself, you might even want to speak all of them!
There are so many more affirmations you could say, and you can find a lot of them online (pinterest is a great place to search for other affirmation ideas!), however I have listed these particular affirmations because these are the ones that personally bring me out my own negative funks, or provide that shift in energy that I so badly need sometimes!
I hope you find these helpful, and I would love to hear of different affirmations that you may be using already. Let me know in the comment section below!
In no particular order, here are 17 different affirmations you can speak to yourself each morning, or throughout the day:
I am strong.
I am smart.
I can do hard things.
I am talented.
I am beautiful.
I am fit.
I am a good person.
I am enough.
I am worthy of love. I deserve to be loved just as I am.
I can do this.
I can be positive today.
I can have a good day.
I don’t have to control everything. I just need to be happy with how much progress I am making.
Things are going my way.
Things are working out for me.
Good things are happening.
Everything is ok.
We don’t always realize it, but our minds repeat phrases to ourselves constantly. You might be repeating things like, I cant do this; it’s too hard; my life is so hard right now;Why am I so unlucky? ; I ‘ll never succeed at _____; what’s the point, I am a failure; It’s too hard for me. etc! And these repetitive thoughts become how we see ourselves and our lives.
When you practice telling yourself positive things (let’s call them affirmations, ), your mind will start repeating these things instead. I am smart; I can do this; I look good; my life is pretty great; I am happy with myself; things are working out for me, etc. You will start to see yourself in a more positive light. You will notice you feel more confident with who you are, how you think, how you feel, how you look, and with what you want to do in life. It’s honestly one of the best things you can do for yourself, and it’s a significant part of my self care regimen.

So really, what do you have to lose? Give positive affirmations a try. You don’t even have to wait until the next morning. You can start right now. Start with, “I am enough”, that’s one of my favourites! 🙂
