Work Desk Makeover!

Making your home office beautiful is one thing. You have complete control because it’s in your own home. Creating a beautiful workspace in your place of work, is a whole other ordeal! You have to deal with whichever desk and chair you were issued, and often there is not much to work with there, am I right? 😉

I have a reader in this exact situation. She contacted me regarding her work desk that needs a major facelift. Keep reading to see her space, and to see the solution I came up with. 🙂

Here is the space my reader had to start with:

As you can see, the colours and materials are not her ideal choices. She wants a workspace that is pretty and inspiring!

We can add pink, white, and gold pieces til the cows come home, but that won’t take the colours that we don’t want away. So it’s really important to deal with those first.

If her employer is ok with it, she can transform her desktop and cabinets with some contact paper. I would go with either of these options, both will look amazing.

Secondly, she wanted to deal with the wall behind the computer monitor. I’m assuming professional wallpaper and installation is not an option, so I have sourced a few options for self adhesive/peel-and-stick wallpaper.

Now that we have those in place, let’s decorate!
