Hey friends! I hope you’re having a great month so far. I know it’s a crazy one! I feel more organized this year, shopping is all done, and now I am on to all the wrapping :D.
This year, I want to do a more organic and rustic look with my wrap. In years past I have gone all gold and glittery, and I still love that look. However this year, I am going the DIY route, first time ever!
It was super easy and actually pretty budget friendly. So read on to find out more!
So here is what you will need:
- 1 roll of Crafting Paper
- White paint, or a white ink pad
- A new, unused pencil, with an eraser on the end.
- Twine, white rope, or ribbon (your choice!)
- scissors
- invisible tape.
- Greenery – Cut off a couple of small twigs and leaves from an ever green tree
- A handful of pinecones
Step 1.
Unroll a large piece of the craft paper. Cut.
Take your pencil (eraser end first), and dip it into the paint (or ink pad, depending on what you chose).
Carefully, holding the pencil completely upright, dab it onto the craft paper.
(I painted my paper after I wrapped. However I recommend painting it BEFORE, for a more efficient and accurate job )

Allow paint to dry.
Finish off by wrapping up your present.
Tie on some ribbon, rope or twine.
Use the greenery and pinecones to your liking. I tried to change mine up, to have some variety. I poked them into the rope and twine. If you need, you can also use hot glue to adhere them onto the parcel.
For this present, I used some stretchy ribbon. I tied it diagaonally, and then came back around the other side.
I tied 3 old ornaments together using some twine, and then I tied that to the stretchy ribbon. A great use of some old ornaments!
Do you have any DIY hacks for wrapping paper? I would love to know! Let me know in the comment section.
Thanks for dropping by!
