Hello again friends! I am so excited to share my design project with you :). This was my first complete home I’ve designed for a client, and I am beyond thrilled over how it all turned out. I hope you enjoy it too! I’ll feature the glam living room and dining room in this post, and the other rooms in posts to follow.
So here we go, let’s dive in!
I helped my client’s select this gorgeous wallpaper. I really wanted to tie the dining room and living room together, so we opted to have wallpaper cover the entire wall area in both spaces, which ultimately created the feeling of one united space.
The wallpaper is from Benjamin Moore. I will definitely update on the exact company and style number soon!
Here is another view of this glam, formal living room.
The curved sofa was our first furniture purchase for this space..and everything else we worked around that!
Here is a closer look at the coffee table. I thought the room needed a pop of colour, so I opted for a pink orchid for the table. And of course no coffee table is complete without a couple of coffee table books and some decor accents!
This mantel is my absolute favourite. I love the gold mirror ; it was the first piece of decor I bought for this space after the wallpaper was applied. The rest of the decor I worked around this piece. Below is another angle of this mantle and fireplace.
You can also see the piano here. My clients’ wanted to work in this piano into their formal living room, and it was a challenge at first figuring out where the best place would be for it. We tried it by the windows, on an angle in a corner, and ultimately we decided this was the best place for it.
Now for the dining room!
This gorgeous banquette, was custom-built and upholstered with a luxurious, black velvet fabric. We selected diamond tufting, and a matte silver button trim. It can seat 3 adults comfortably, which was the whole point, as my client’s host their share of dinner parties!
I absolutely love these cream tufted chairs. The details on the back are what really sold me. The backs of the chairs are one of the first things you see when you enter my client’s home, so it was really important that they have the “wow-factor”, and I think they definitely do!
The final touches I wanted to add to this dining table had to be glamorous, yet functional. This candelabra actually gets used by my clients’ for some romantic candlelit dinners! How sweet <3!
Well that’s all for now folks! (I love it when I get so say folks!) I hope you enjoyed this quick tour of my client’s glam formal living and dining room. Let me know what you think in the comment section!
