I can’t get enough of Kate Spade’s Desk Accessory line, or anything office related that is white and gold! I want every single piece, and I probably won’t stop until I actually have them all. So it makes sense that in honour of the new year, I have not one, but two calendars, and 1, oh-so-beautiful planner!
There is something about starting off a new planner, and now a new year. It’s so fresh, and prestine. I love filling in the information section, and perusing through the blank pages, so promising and full of possibilities. It’s a clean slate. It’s the place where I get to become the new version of myself I’m so excited to be, on these first few days of the new year.
My favourite calendars for 2017 are:
- This clipboard calendar, which is not actually Kate Spade (gasp!). I picked it up from Home Sense a couple months back (it’s a 16 month calendar that started back in August 2016). I love the 16 month calendars because you get more beautiful pages to work with, especially if you start the planner in January instead of last August, you can potentially use all of those extra pages as notes pages for those times you need to messily scribble something down. Which is a great bonus! Some people actually like starting their new planners in August when the planner starts, but I prefer starting in the new year!
2. The 2017 Kate Spade Desktop Calendar
My husband surprised me with this mini 2017 desktop calendar, which is a true Kate Spade piece. He forgot or maybe didn’t realize I already had the clipboard calendar going, so he thought I needed a 2017 calendar. And of course I didn’t correct him..and of course I am not going to be practical and exchange for a different desk accessory I might actually really need..:) So I decided I am going to keep it and squeeze it in somewhere on my desk. Whoohoo!
P.S. I can totally use the gold base as a business card holder too! See below for an image.
3. The 2017 Kate Spade Desk Planner
My Kate Spade 2017 planner is definitely a must have for me. I love it so much. Last year I had the black and white striped version. This year I took a leap and got the mint green one! And I’m sooo happy with my purchase! Truthfully, I wasn’t sure if the quote on the front cover was something I wanted to see everyday for a whole year. So I let myself think about it for a couple of days, and gave myself the option to return it and buy the black and white version instead. But I am so glad I kept it, I mean who wants to look at the same planner cover again year after year? I feel like this cover holds new meaning for me. I am taking new risks, and becoming an even better version of myself this year (well that’s my goal anyway!). And taking small leaps like these, where I experiment with new things, and keep an open mind, just symbolizes how I want to do that during the rest of the year, with more significant matters, like my interior design business, and with my overall life goals this year.
Comment below if you can relate, or if you have anything else you want to share!
I’ve included some pictures of the details of the planner and desktop calendar. Enjoy!
