Fall Office Tour 2019

 

Hey lovely, I hope you are enjoying the start of my favourite season, Fall!

Even with the shorter days and darker nights, theres just something I truly love about the Autumn season. Maybe it’s the crisp air, the apples and pumpkins that are ready to be picked, or just the fact that I get to start decorating!

If you remember from last fall, I styled my office with velvet pumpkins in pink, white, and mauve (see last year’s tour here). I loved that colour scheme so much, I decided to stick with it this year, and simply add more pieces in the same colour scheme.

Everything I found was from Home Sense Canada. Unfortunatley they do not have online shopping, so I cannot offer up any direct links here. However, I will be adding links to similar products this week, so stay tuned for that!

It’s easy to overlook all the good you’ve done It’s easy to overlook all the good you’ve done in recent times, it’s easy to feel defeated that you’re not where you want to be yet. 
It’s easy to focus on all of the opportunities you missed or didn’t take. 
But don’t ignore all the good you’ve put into your own life, all of the positive actions you have taken. 

You wouldn’t be where you are now without having taken all of those small steps, those steps forward in the right direction. They did count, they do matter. 

Some journeys take longer then others, & some paths are less travelled. However these are the most meaningful. You will know what you went through and what it took to get there. Don’t ever lose sight of that and don’t ever minimize your wins. Be proud of yourself and all of the hard work you’ve done for yourself and to better your life. Keep going. 💕
You are not your thoughts. Step back and notice w You are not your thoughts. 
Step back and notice what you’re thoughts are saying. 
Are they lifting you up or putting you down?
Be mindful of what you’re telling yourself, and don’t always believe what you hear. 

You can be your own biggest fan, or your own worst enemy. 

Truth is we are usually both. 

When you’re stuck in a negative thought pattern, remember you are not the speaker of the thought, you are the listener. 
That gives you power. 

Usually the negative thoughts sound a lot like an authority figure from your past, whose words you’ve internalized as beliefs. 
Next time you hear yourself shaming or criticizing yourself, ask yourself who does this eerily sound like from your life?

Ask yourself if what they are saying is actually a belief you personally hold, or is something they have passed on to you. 

What do you actually feel or believe about that? 
Take note and try to hold your own values in higher regard then those you’ve just absorbed from others. 
These little changes add up to you getting to know yourself on a deeper level. This inner work is well worth it. ✨

There are times I can hear my intuition clearly, a There are times I can hear my intuition clearly, and there are times I unintentionally forget about it. 

Those times are when I feel lost and out of touch with myself. 

I try to think my way out of it, but it never works. 

What works for me is to be still and face my feelings. 

What am I feeling right now? 

I don’t worry about why I’m feeling that way (that can come later if needed), I just identify the feeling. 
And then I say OK, and I accept it. 

Immediately it’s as if a weight is lifted off of me. 
My body was telling me how I felt, and I listened. (This is a form of self love).
After this I feel free and light. 
I usually start writing in my journal at this point. 
As I write, my intuition speaks up, and I hear it clearly. 

You don’t have to write to hear your inner self, it may come to you through any  movement, or being physically immersed in an activity. 

I often hear my intuition when I’m out walking or cleaning my house. 
A lot of people hear it when they are in the shower, or immediately upon waking in the morning. 

The common factor is , they are not thinking, they are just being. And their mind is still. To get to that place, your emotions need to be heard and addressed first.

How you feel towards yourself, how you treat yours How you feel towards yourself, how you treat yourself, the amount of compassion, forgiveness, and breathing room you give to yourself, is directly related to how you will show up in your relationships. 
I had never understood the phrase that ‘your relationships are a mirror’
 until recently. Everything you see in your relationships with others, is actually a projection of how you see yourself. The good and the bad. More on this later. For now, let’s focus on filling our own cups, healing our own wounds, so that when we show up, we show up with love. Ask yourself, do you give love without expectation? Or are you giving love to control how the other person perceives you? Do you give love only if you get something in return,
Or do you give it freely because it’s overflowing out of your heart and your being? There is no wrong answer, the point is to work towards giving freely and loving without condition. It’s not an easy task, but even setting the intention will reduce the conflicts in your life. All relationships are a continuous work in progress, and actually the best place to do your inner work. What you feel about yourself is the lens you see the rest of the world through. It filters how you see your relationships, your self worth and your place in the world. 
Instead of getting caught up in what other people are doing, or in their wins and losses, focus on yourself. Focus on how you feel and what you need. You already have everything you need inside of you. Allow yourself to start seeing the beauty that lives within you already. Ask yourself what is going well for me in my life? What am I proud of myself for? What do I love about myself and who I am today? Start here. Start falling in love with yourself and your own life. That’s where’s it’s at lovely. ✨💕
Happy Saturday lovelies. I realized I was stuck in Happy Saturday lovelies. I realized I was stuck in a loop as I was journaling this morning, and the simple act of breathing in and out while letting go of all the pressure I had been putting on myself, and forgiving myself for not being at my best, it freed me, reset me, and brought me back into alignment. It was not anything external. We always jump to blame the outer circumstances when we feel off, but I find it’s actually our reaction to the outer circumstances and the expectations we hold of ourselves that cause our suffering. When we forgive ourselves and love ourselves for being exactly as we are, we can once again move forward and step into the life we want to create. Hope this helps someone today. Love you all 🥰✨.
Wanting to change is half of the battle. Once you Wanting to change is half of the battle. Once you decide you want to heal, or you want better for yourself, things start moving. The right advice and inspiration comes to you. You just need to be open to it. The desire to change coupled with the belief that you can change, will help you move mountains.
